“This initiation is not learned—it is Remembered, Awakened, and Carried through the Living Current of the Katalonan. What I received, I now transmit—not as Doctrine, but as Living Remembrance.“
The Katalonan Spiritual Initiation is a Sacred Rite of Passage that opens the Initiate to Ancestral Wisdom, Spiritual Authority, and Embodied Responsibility—marking the transition from Seeker to Bearer of the Katalonan Path.
This Initiation is not symbolic alone; it is Transformational, calling forth Remembrance, Alignment, and Living Connection with the Unseen and the Ancestors.
Several years ago, I received information that the Katalonan of Katagalugan needs to be reclaimed and revived.
The Katalonan is the mediator between the Physical World—the world of humans—and the Spiritual World—the realm of the Diwata, Engkanto, and Anito. They are similar to the Mumbaki of the Ifugao and the Babaylan of the Visayas.
The message of the Diwata and Anito carries great weight, especially in this present modern time when no true Katalonan is believed to exist anymore. Many use the title Katalonan, yet their practices and beliefs are not aligned with what a true Katalonan truly is.
True Katalonan work with and call upon the Diwata, Engkanto, and Anito, because we also have our own names and terms for the Indigenous Spirits of our Ancestors. This is one of the primary signs of being a true Katalonan.
Becoming a complete Katalonan happens through initiation by the Spirits themselves—whether Diwata or Anito. Being a Katalonan is not like choosing a course simply because you want to. The calling is directly given to you by a Diwata or Anito, and it is something you cannot refuse. The Spiritual Initiation you experience will truly transform your mind, emotions, beliefs, and even your actions.
During the Spiritual Initiation of a chosen and called Katalonan, one may experience unexplained illnesses or pain, and intense, confusing shifts in energy and emotional vibrations. There is a sensation as if the soul is separating from the physical body—as if you are standing between Life and Death.
This is my experience and what I am currently undergoing in the Spiritual Initiation happening within me now. This feeling becomes worse or more intense whenever one attempts to break the calling or reject the transformation required to become a Katalonan. Since they are the ones who assigned the task of reclaiming and reviving the Katalonan, I must go through and overcome this—physically and spiritually—so that I may be aligned in thought, word, and action.
I am aware that this path is difficult, but because it is a command from the Diwata and Anito, I know that everything will eventually be well. We will call forth and revive the Katalonan, and we will wait for them to arrive and awaken.
Mayari Na! Magbaya!
